Southwest Regional Tuba Euphonium Conference (SWRTEC 2009)
Jim Self will be playing a Jazz Concert at the upcoming Southwest Regional
Tuba/Euphonium Conference in Los Angeles, Friday, May 29th at 8 PM at Biola
University. The concert will also feature the great Bill Reichenbach on jazz
euphonium. Harmonica virtuoso Ron Kalina (from their recent CD "The Odd Couple")
will also be featured on that instrument and piano. LA studio and jazz greats
Barry Zweig, guitar; Chris Conner, bass and Dick Weller, drums are in the rhythm
section.
SWRTEC will be three days of great tuba and euphonium concerts, clinics and
competitions and is hosted by Beth Mitchell and Dave Holben. This will be the
BEST OF THE WEST.
